Books that have been made into movies!
Right now there are at least three movies in theaters that are based on books.
The Life of Pi by Yann Martel
Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
and Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
The Tappan Zee High School Library has all of the books.
I read Life of Pi about quite a while ago (shortly after it came out). Last night I saw the movie in 3D. I never would have dreamed they could make this movie since it is about a young man who is stranded on a lifeboat with a zebra, orangutang, hyenna, and a Bengal tiger. I wouold love to see "The Making of The Life of Pi". The cinematography was quite stunning. I saw it with my daughter, who had not read the book and she found the ending quite confusing, so I do think it was helpful that I had read the book first, even though it was a long time ago.
What do you think? Is it better to read the book BEFORE you see the movie?
